The Build Story
Why This Exists
The Creator's Game
Lacrosse has been handed down, generation by generation, by everyone who ever picked up a stick and chose to give back to the game.
The players who taught their younger siblings how to cradle in the backyard. The coaches who stayed late to run one more drill. The officials who showed up early on cold mornings so the game could be played. Every one of them gave more than they ever asked back.
What they passed down isn't a record book. It's a standard of showing up. The grit, the mentorship, the small daily acts that quietly shape the next person to step on the field. The game has given us all so much because they gave so much to it.
To every player, coach, official, and family who has carried it forward, especially the ones no longer with us: thank you. LaxIQ.net exists to preserve that love and respect for the roots, and to pay it forward to whoever picks up a stick next.
The Global Gap
Lacrosse keeps growing. Boys' high-school participation has more than doubled in the past decade. Girls' participation has grown nearly the same. USA Lacrosse reports continued growth at the youngest age levels.
The tooling around the sport has not kept pace. Three apps, two group chats, a shared doc, and a coach manually texting reminders Friday after 5pm should not be the operating system. LaxIQ.net is built to streamline that work: easier drills, cleaner film notes, clearer progress, and fewer manual handoffs for the motivated players who may have the least access, especially as lacrosse grows beyond the USA and into the Olympic Games.
LaxIQ.net is the next rep philosophy. We have learned from what was not working and shifted the focus to closing that gap.
