1. Overview
At LaxIQ.net, we strive to provide exceptional value through our lacrosse training and performance tracking platform. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds, cancellations, and billing for all subscription tiers.
By subscribing to LaxIQ.net, you agree to these refund terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
2. Free Trial Period
7-Day Free Trial
New users who subscribe to our Family (Pro) or Team (Elite) plans receive a 7-day free trial period.
- No Charge During Trial: You will not be charged during the 7-day trial period
- Payment Method Required: A valid payment method must be provided to start your trial
- Cancel Anytime: You may cancel your trial at any time during the 7 days without being charged
- Automatic Conversion: If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and your payment method will be charged
- Trial Eligibility: Free trials are limited to one per user/email address
How to Cancel During Trial
To cancel your trial subscription:
- Log in to your LaxIQ.net account
- Navigate to Account Settings → Subscription
- Click "Manage Subscription" or "Cancel Subscription"
- Follow the prompts to complete cancellation
- You will receive a confirmation email
3. Subscription Cancellation
Cancellation Terms
You may cancel your LaxIQ.net subscription at any time. Here's how it works:
- Access Until Period End: When you cancel, you retain full access to your subscription features until the end of your current billing period
- No Partial Refunds: Cancellations do not result in partial refunds for unused time in the current billing period
- Immediate Effect: Your subscription will not renew for the next billing period
- Data Retention: Your account data, including performance statistics and training history, will be preserved for 90 days after cancellation
- Reactivation: You may reactivate your subscription at any time by logging in and selecting a plan
How to Cancel
To cancel your paid subscription:
- Log in to your LaxIQ.net account
- Go to Account Settings → Subscription
- Click "Manage Subscription" in the Billing Portal
- Select "Cancel Subscription"
- Provide optional feedback (helps us improve)
- Confirm cancellation
4. Refund Eligibility
When Refunds Are Granted
Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:
- Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly due to a system error
- Service Unavailability: If our platform was unavailable for an extended period (more than 48 consecutive hours) due to technical issues on our end
- Duplicate Charges: If you were charged multiple times for the same subscription period
- Unauthorized Charges: If charges were made without your authorization (subject to verification)
- Account Termination by LaxIQ.net: If we terminate your account due to our own error or technical issues
When Refunds Are NOT Granted
Refunds will generally not be issued for:
- Change of mind after the trial period has ended
- Failure to use the platform or its features
- Lack of improvement in performance or results
- Incompatibility with personal training methods or preferences
- Account termination due to violation of our Terms of Service
- Partial subscription periods after cancellation
5. Pro-Rated Refunds
LaxIQ.net does not offer pro-rated refunds for partial subscription periods. This means:
- If you cancel mid-billing cycle, you will not receive a refund for unused days
- You will retain access to all subscription features until the end of your current billing period
- Your subscription will simply not renew for the next billing cycle
Example: If you subscribe to the Family plan on January 1st and cancel on January 15th, you will have access until January 31st (end of billing period), but no refund will be issued for January 16-31.
6. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund based on the criteria outlined in Section 4, please follow these steps:
- Contact Support: Email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Provide Details: Include your account email, subscription tier, reason for refund request, and any supporting documentation
- Review Process: Our team will review your request within 3-5 business days
- Decision Notification: You will receive an email with our decision and any next steps
- Processing Time: If approved, refunds are processed within 7-10 business days and will appear on your original payment method
7. Payment Method & Billing Updates
Failed Payments
If a subscription payment fails:
- You will receive an email notification
- We will attempt to process the payment again over the next 7 days
- Your access will be temporarily suspended if payment continues to fail
- Your subscription will be canceled after 14 days of failed payments
Update Payment Information
To update your payment method:
- Log in to your account
- Navigate to Account Settings → Subscription
- Click "Update Payment Method"
- Enter new card details
- Save changes
8. Upgrading or Downgrading Plans
Upgrading Your Plan
When you upgrade from Basic to Family, or Family to Team:
- Changes take effect immediately
- You will be charged the difference between your current plan and the new plan, pro-rated for the remainder of your billing period
- Your next billing date remains the same
- You gain immediate access to all features of the higher tier
Downgrading Your Plan
When you downgrade from Team to Family, or Family to Basic:
- Changes take effect at the end of your current billing period
- You retain access to your current plan's features until the period ends
- No refunds are issued for the difference in plan costs
- Some features may become unavailable after downgrade (e.g., team management tools)
9. Price Changes
LaxIQ.net reserves the right to modify subscription pricing. In the event of a price change:
- We will notify you at least 30 days in advance via email
- Current subscribers will be grandfathered at their existing rate for at least one billing cycle
- You may cancel your subscription before the price change takes effect without penalty
- Continuing your subscription after notification constitutes acceptance of the new pricing
